Welcome to Black Space:
The Diaspora Innovation Circle

About our Community...

This is a membership-based network for Black leaders interested in collectively building an actionable agenda for economic and social well-being across the Diaspora. Members get access to quarterly curated learning and strategy sessions, as well as networking opportunities. In this space, we are inviting Black leaders to learn, dream and think out loud, in a like-minded (though not monolithic) community of leaders who know that if we choose to,  we can collectively build together in the interest of promoting the Wealth, Health, and Connectedness of Black people from a global perspective. The space we are creating in the Circle will allow for innovation. The Imperative fund intends to create funding opportunities to seed and accelerate these innovations.

Membership Eligibility:

  • First, we emphasize that this is a space for Black leaders*. We refer to our people as leaders because by coming together in this space, we are collectively taking leadership on issues our communities are facing.
  • Membership is ideal for Black community and/or business leaders who have a strong interest and desire to engage in building a more tangible connection to other leaders and opportunities across the African diaspora.
  • Topics covered include (but not limited to):
  • Catalyzing ethical wealth creation for Black communities
  • Economic development opportunities across the diaspora
  • Strategies to promote the mental, physical and communal well-being of Black people.
  • Strategies to strengthen historical, cultural, and social connection among Black people in the US, Africa, and the Diaspora.

Membership Fee: $100

Why is there a fee for this community? Because at The Imperative, we are explicit in our understanding that this work is valuable. Further, valuable innovations will stem from this community. We are intentionally building a financial asset to be able to support those innovations as the community grows.

Your $100 tax-deductible donation  to The Imperative will support the very purpose of our community. The membership lasts one year and active members will have access to all recordings and materials from our learning and strategy sessions.
